The Wellington Group has been engaged to find a leading R&D executive for a multi-national conglomerate. Exciting career opportunity to lead the growth and development of this brand and its global initiatives.

The position is required to provide thought leadership in the area of R & D to facilitate aggressive growth planned by the company in the near future.

Responsibilities include:

• Will be responsible for all strategic decisions of the company
• Lead and Motivate all three streams of the R & D
• Work along with the key stakeholders of the business to create a short-medium and long term product pipeline
• Strike a balance between high quality research and operational efficiencies of Research to ensure ROI

The qualified candidate will have:

• Ph.D. (preferably in Organic Chemistry / Microbiology / Fermentation Technology)
• Working experience of 15 years or more
• Proven capability to lead mid to large size R & D teams with a good track record as people leader
• Exposure preferably two of the three areas of R & D: Fermentation, API, Formulations

Industry: Pharmaceuticals, APIs, Biotechnology
