Logistics Manager – Medical Device

The Wellington Group has been engaged to find an experienced logistics and supply chain professional for an exciting new position. This is a pivotal supply chain management role supporting the R&D and future commercial operations of a medical technology firm.

The Logistics Manager will oversee and manage all supply chain activities and related systems for clinical products within a GMP/ISO manufacturing environment from acquisition of raw materials through distribution of finished goods to end users.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement logistics plans, budgets, and procedures for materials management and production control to assure achievement of company’s objectives.
  • Establish and manage the production control system, including inventory control, import-export, internal/external warehousing, and shipping/receiving activities.
  • Interact with vendors and distributors to establish optimal systems and procedures.
  • Develop material schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, internal/external manufacturing.

The qualified candidate will have:

  • BS degree or equivalent related experience
  • 5+ years logistics/materials management experience within the medical device or biopharmaceutical industries.
  • Experience with management of temperature-sensitive materials.
  • Knowledge of GMP/ISO and other applicable regulatory requirements related to materials management, including import/ export of medical / pharmaceutical products
