The Wellington Group has been engaged to find a subject matter expert in the areas of Clinical, Regulatory and QA for Life Sciences and Government Consulting / Contracting. You will support the SVP and senior management along with the government services team in the marketing, strategy, execution and outcomes of various projects. This is a great opportunity to apply your scientific and regulatory expertise along with leveraging your NIH, NIEHS, DOD and HHS contacts for bidding on and acquiring new research or support projects.

The Principal will touch all facets of the project lifecycle: participating in marketing and business development as well as overseeing implementation that would require working closely with senior agency leadership. He/ she should have excellent presence and strong technical writing capabilities for required RFP’s with Federal agencies.

Responsibilities include:

• Define, document and keep current the saleable Clinical/Regulatory service products that will leverage our business development and project delivery activities
• Ensure that these products and processes are adequately understood by delivery staff and by the business development/market-facing team
• Formulate a strategic plan that projects staffing resources required to meet current market/client demand; and, with the business development and marketing leads, projects areas of growth and market changes
• Establish an overall staffing plan for both internal and external contractor pool to meet the needs of the Clinical/Regulatory services plan
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a Marketing Strategy in coordination of branding with the organization

The qualified candidate will have:

• 10 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Trials Management with an excellent network in these disciplines
• 5 plus years of experience in the government marketplace, strong relationships with HHS, NIH and DOD preferred
• Deep understanding of the Life Sciences drug development value chain especially in the Regulatory and Clinical trials (Phase I-II)
• Executive presence and persuasive communication ability
• Demonstrate ability to lead, motivate and develop others
• Exceptional Life Sciences federal agency network
